Have you ever watched a football match between rival Teams? The energy is to the roof, and usually, so are the injuries! But the question comes: how come these athletes operate at such high levels? Which coincidently is the reason for such high injurious turnout.

Endorphins

The Oxford Dictionary defines endorphins as “any group of hormones secreted within the brain and nervous system and having several physiological functions. They are peptides which activate the body’s opiate receptors, causing an analgesic effect.”

Physiological

This is the third time this big word has appeared in this post. It is “related to the branch of biology that deals with the normal functions of living organisms and their parts.” So, normally endorphins are called the feel good hormones that affect how our bodies react to pain or stress.

As you can imagine, athletes feel both on multiple occasions during a game or an athletic event.
